How about something that's not the Rift making everyone blab their business?
[starting off with a joke? at least he tries]
I know a lot of Wanderers have come through recently, and while I try to talk to a lot of you, I can't always. Regardless, my name is Detective Don Flack, and back home I used to work for the New York Police Department. I'm a Wanderer. I fell through the Rift about a year ago while I was working a case in Chicago, and I've been stuck here ever since.
I know that Chicago can be terrifying. Being stuck in a new city with no rights can be scary enough as it is, never mind the Rift throwing things like monsters and Rift abilities into the mix. The Chicago PD won't help -- they shelve Wanderer or supernatural oriented cases, and if they were left to their own devices, they'd never be solved.
I decided pretty early on that that wasn't something we deserved to put up with.
I've started a Wanderer police force. This isn't a call to arms, this is simply a way of giving Wanderers a place to go where they know that they will be heard. Granted, I can't take all the credit for this -- it was more Rachel Dawes's idea than anything. And I want to make sure that it does what it's supposed to do.
[he misses her. but he owes it to her to see this through]
If any of you happen to be investigators, I would love to talk to you about joining the force. No police experience is required, or if it comes from an ... unconventional source, that works too. We have the cases, we just need people to solve them. But this entry isn't really about that. This is about making sure that everyone knows that there's a place they can go that isn't the CPD.
[and this is where Flack scribbles in the address]
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
