Paradisa was gorgeous when the sun came out.
After having April rained out for the second year in a row, it was nice to be able to head outside and see what was going on three feet in front of you. Add to the fact that the world was just lush and green and didn’t show any sign death or decay, and it was—beautiful. Completely artificial, and totally unbelievable, but beautiful nonetheless.
He was stretched out on his back on the picnic blanket that he and Rose had brought out earlier, one arm propped up slightly, and she was lying at a right angle to him, her head resting on his stomach as she talked. She had been telling him some about her adventures with the Doctor, and other things about her life back home. She had gotten up for a moment to toss a ball off in another direction for Growlithe, and as she settled back in again, she looked up at him with a grin.
“Now where was I?”
“New New York,” he said with a smirk. “And the apple grass.”
“Right,” she said, her grin brightening even more as she settled in and got comfortable. “The apple grass. That was just brilliant, that was.”
