[ROTM] Rules of engagement
Jan. 14th, 2008 09:43 pmOOC: Set after this thread.
There are rules when you’re facing an armed suspect. You don’t pull out your gun unless there is a perceived threat to you or someone else, and you certainly don’t shoot unless you’re damn sure you have a good shot. The rules were clear, and sometimes things got a little murky, depending on the situation, but generally speaking, things were pretty much black and white. That was the way things worked in New York, and he actually liked things that way. Where he knew the rules. Knew the way to play the game.
He had no idea what the rules of engagement were when it came to dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs. Seriously. It was not the way he wanted to end his night, thank you very much. He had already felt like he was losing his mind, and now, he figured he was just confirming it. But then again, he was starting to ask around now. He wasn’t the only one seeing dinosaurs. He had Buffy to back him up, after all she had killed the damn thing. But still. People were giving him looks that he didn’t quite appreciate, and he wanted it to stop.
And if it took figuring out how to deal with dinosaurs to do it, so be it.
