[TM] Philip K. Dick quote
Nov. 9th, 2007 09:40 pmOOC: Set in the
shakeitup_pf 'verse. Flack decided he didn't want to play in canon for this one, and really -- the quote perfectly exemplifies the way he's feeling right now in the game. So it works. *nods*
"Sometimes the appropriate response to reality is to go insane."
Flack was tired. Too tired to try and process much more of what this crazy city had to offer. Truth be told, he was beginning to think that he was losing his mind, and they had shipped him off to the happy farm. He had to be delusional, because stuff like this just didn’t happen.
It didn’t happen.
His altered mind was rationalizing or some shit like that. Taking the surroundings he didn’t want to accept and changing them into something that was more—normal. It had to be a mental ward, that was the only explanation. The walls where he couldn’t leave, the things appearing out of thin air? He was living in his head; he had to be. Things like this didn’t happen.
( Things like this didn’t happen. )
